Sigh , hurts me to give this review but it’s honestly how I felt as I read the book, I had to force myself to finish it and give it a chance.I absolutely loved The Temptation Series , it was one of my all time fav series certainly fav MM. Then there is the 3 Ps who were really good , but then the Prime Time Series & now this one are just a rinse & repeat of the straight man gone gay base story line. I’m sure the intent is to replicate the success of those earlier series , and these ladies do create amazing characters , but please when you keep new series within the same world , don’t just keep using the same stuff.Bash & Kieran are both awesome characters, they clearly have chemistry but I was put off from about chapter 4 when I could see it was just going to be similar to Sean & Xander’s story, it’s just they have different jobs.Their developing chemistry is what pulled the extra 1/2 star out of me , for much of the book I was sitting on a 2.I do like how the authors broached the homophobic piece in the book , this sadly is far too common place and I like when authors deal with subjects like this and how it impacts characters. I’m hoping Sanderson gets put in his place in the next book, coz that sort of crap needs to be shutdown or it never stops.I didn’t get Summer turning up out of the blue, she was a one night stand and suddenly she is there to nurse him better. The last chapter seemed very rushed , it went from a real high to splat in one chapter.I hope the next book saves the whole series and future ones either are characters from a new world or have some original storylines.Book ends on a bit of a cliff hanger, for those who hate them wait for next book(s) and read them all together.
